Zimbabwe survived a middle-order collapse to beat United Arab Emirates by three wickets, completing a series whitewash at Harare Sports Club.
UAE were bowled out for 175 earlier an innings built on the back Chirag Suri’s 46 and Chundangapoyil Rizwan’s 45.
Zimbabwe started well with openers Brian Chari and Regis Chakabva putting on 44 for the first wicket. Rain had stopped play when they were 37-0 and a revised target of 128 was set from 30 overs.
It was the fall of three wickets in three balls that set Zimbabwe back. A lusty 35 off 22 balls from Timycen Maruma put them in good stead and they got to their target in 24.5 overs.
