Zimbabwe, South Africa drawn in the same Afcon 2023 qualifying group

Zimbabwe and South Africa could restore hostilities when the Africa Cup of Nations 2023 qualifying matches kick off in June.

This is after the were drawn in he same group along with Liberia and Morocco.

Of course it all depends on whether Zimbabwe have their Fifa ban lifted two weeks before the group matches start. Zimbabwe were suspended over government interference in the running of the game.

The finals will be held in Cote D’Ivoire.

The two sides were in the same group in their unsuccessful quest for 2022 World Cup qualification.
