Zimbabwe maul Algeria to claim Rugby Africa Cup

Zimbabwe are Rugby Africa Champions after they mauled Algeria 29-3 in the final on Sunday in Uganda.

The Sables claimed the title for the first time since 2012.

On their way to the final, they beat hosts Uganda and defending champions Namibia.

Trevor Gurwe, with two tries, and Brandon Mudzekenyedzi, along with Liam Larkan adding the others were crucial to the victory, penning a historic win for the Sables. The last two tries came in the final six minutes

Piet Benade won coach of the tournament, while Tapiwa Mafura was named best player.
