Zimbabwe hosts Zambia in international friendly – Zifa

The Zimbabwe Football Association has confirmed an international friendly against Zambia set for this Sunday in Harare.

The statement read

The Zimbabwe Football Association hereby confirms that an international friendly match will be played between the senior men’s teams of Zimbabwe and Zambia during the current international break.

The match is slated for Sunday the 26th of March at the National Sports Stadium in Harare at 1500hours.

Details of the Warriors’ technical team and the players will be made available on Wednesday.

Zimbabwe have a strong recent record against Chipolopolo, having won 4 of the last 6 matches, losing one. The most recent was a 1-0 victory in November thanks to a Teenage Hadebe goal.

Zifa president Philip Chiyangwa is on record as saying an acting local coach will be appointed to manage the Warriors this season. (Click here for that story)
