Zimbabwe’s sevens side, the SPAR Cheetahs dominated match day 1 of the ongoing Africa Cup Sevens in Mombasa, Kenya.
They finish the day in pole position in their group after dispatching Kenya C (14-10), Morocco (24-5) and Ivory Coast (31-7).
Zimbabwe named a strong side but are also using this tournament to blood in a some players. The team in Mombasa is as follows:
Danny Hondo, Fortune Chipendu, Gardner Nechironga, Toobad Nemadire, Wes Mbanje, Kilvin Magunje, Tapiwa Tsomondo, Lucky Sithole, Jafet Ndebele, Steven Hunduza with new caps going to Boyd Rous and Shayne Makombe.
