Those who stayed away from the Nationa Sports Stadium pretty much missed nothing as Zambia played Zimbabwe in an really poor quality match in Harare.
Zimbabwe under the watchful eye of FC Platinum gaffer Norman Mapeza created very few chances a lot of the type of play being typical of what you see in a regular local league match. A few good passes and then a horrible cross. A chance of a free kick, hit hard and over the bar.
Zambia did try make a game of it but were pretty poor too in front of a crowd of 2,000. This is in a 60,000 capacity venue.
It is not clear what this game was supposed to accomplish save for fulfilling a Fifa date. Also it would seem Tanzania changed their minds about playing Zambia and so Chipolopolo roped in its neighbours for game time.
