Zimbabwean forward Jimiel Chikukwa has signed for Premier League side, Watford.

He makes the move there after he was released by another English top league side Leeds United.

The 18-year-old joins the Hornets after a successful trial period, following his departure from Leeds United in the summer.

Chikukwa has already scored in a Watford shirt, against both Hull City and Crewe Alexandra’s (2) Under-23 sides.

“I’m delighted, I’ve had to be really patient over the summer to get this done but I’m just buzzing that it’s happened now,” he said, to the Watford website.

Both of Chikukwa’s goals against Crewe were from close range, demonstrating the youngster’s ability to burst into the six-yard box.

Chikukwa will continue his development with the Under-23 side.
