Chicken Inn inflicted a defeat on Dynamos on match day 1 of the Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
Obadaiah Tarumbwa scored the only goal for Chicken Inn in the second half at Barbourfields Stadium.
Meanwhile, champions FC Platinum’s opponents ZPC Kariba refused to travel to Harare for their tie after their stadium had earluer not been cleared for use in the league. The Zimbabwe Football Association homologated it on Saturday but it remains to be seen if ZPC will receive any sanctions for refusing to play.
Meanwhile Ngezi Platinum got off to a winning start with 2-0 victory over new boys Herentals. Walter Mukanga and Keither Murera scored for the miners.
Ishmael Wadi scored a brace as Bulawayo City overcame Chapungu 2-0 while Spencer Masunda gave Nichrut a 1-0 victory over Mutare City.
The match between Yadah and and Bulawayo Chiefs ended 2-2.
