Zim PSL 2024 Matchday 9 Sunday roundup: Bosso beat Caps, FC Platinum lose

Highlanders went clear top of the log after they beat Caps United 2-0 in a 2024 Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League matchday nine tie on Sunday.

First-half goals from Andrew Mbeba and McKinnon Mushore helped Bosso to maximum, taking advantage of the Chicken Inn slip-up on Saturday.

Former Champions FC Platinum’s bad start to the season is confirmed. They fell 1-0 to Manica Diamonds which make sit two successive losses and winless in four. Michael Tapera got the all-important goal for the Gem Boys.

Dynamos and defending champions Ngezi Platinum played out a 2-2 draw.

Valentine Kadonzvo gave Dembare the lead. Takunda Benhura replied for Ngezi, and Farai Madhanange put them in the lead. Freddy Alick’s second half effort, just after the mark meant Dynamos salvaged something from the tie.

Bulawayo Chiefs had Never Rauzhi to thank in getting the better of Chegutu Pirates by a goal to nil.

Fresh from firing their coach, Greenfuel hammered newboys Arenel Movers 3-0, while Hwange and Herentals played out a 0-0 draw.
