There appears to be some life left in the 2024 Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier League race after Simba Bhora suffered a last-minute loss to Herentals on matchday 30.
Zibusiso Ruguchu netted late for Herentals to claim a 1-0 win.
With four games to go, Simba Bhora’s lead is now down to six points, and one of them is against second-placed FC Platinum, who beat Yadah Stars 3-0.
Oscar Bhebhe, Wilfred Muvirimi and Devine Mhindirira scored FC Platinum.
Chegutu Pirates came from a goal down to claim a 2-1 win over defending champions Ngezi Platinum. Ngezi took the lead through Moses Demera in the first half. Two goals in four minutes unravelled them. First, Tinotenda Ditima netted in the 51st before Richard Hachiro turned the ball into his own goal in an action which would eventually seal their fate.
Fradreck Muza scored the only goal in TelOne’s 1-0 win over Chicken Inn.
ZPC Kariba and Hwange played out a goalless draw, while Bikita Minerals and Greenfuel’s match ended 2-1 in favour of the latter.
