Caps United got their season up and running in good form, beating last season’s surprise package Manica Diamonds 2-0. Their goals came from Thulani Joseph and Blessing Sarupinda.
The Green Machine did finish with 10 men after Joseph received a straight red card in the 87th minute.
Highlanders were held 0-0 by ZPC Kariba, while Triangle United beat Herentals 1-0.
