Zim Domestic T20 will be available on local TV

For the first time ever, the local Zimbabwe Domestic T20 tournament will be screened on local TV.

We have been informed that the matches will be shared between the ZBC (also available on DStv channel 280) and ZTN Prime (DStv channel 294).

Sources have confirmed the development.

Most of the matches will be on TV, while some will simply sit on the ZTN Prime Facebook page.

The tournament kicks off 3 March and involves the five local provincial side and English top flight county side, Durham.

We will provide the schedule, soon.

Why this matters

Many of us learnt cricket through its being ubiquitous on the screens every time the national team had a local game.

That we now have domestic cricket on the box opens it up to a new range of fans, especially to their potential local heroes.

And for the other lot, it also means is that those fans who thought they knew the game, will get closer to it.
