Zimbabwe A put on a ruthless all-roudn performance in decimating Kenya by eight wickets with 31 overs in hand in the fourth one day match at Mutare Sports Club.
The hosts won the toss and elected to field before going through the top and middle order efficiently reducing Kenya to 88-7. Brandon Mavuta and the veteran Chris Mpofu were the key architects with three wickets each.
Nehemiah Odhiambo and Hiren Varaiya provided a late resistance but the former was bowled by Cephas Zhuwao for 35. The final two wickets folded quickly and Kenya were all out for 156 in 42.3 overs.
Zimbabwe A were in a hurry it seemed and Cephas Zhuwao, who has tormented Kenya throughout the series smacked two fours and a six in the first over.
He was gone after 2.1 overs without adding to his 14.
Chamu Chibhabha and Tarisai Musakanda aggressively went past lunch until the former fell for 43 caught in the deep off Shem Ngoche.
Regis Chakabva was next in and joined the party scoring a 45 off just 23 balls, Zimbabwe reaching a total of 158/2 in 19 overs. Musakanda was unbeaten on 46 from 40.
UPDATE: The update is that Zimbabwe has completed the one-day series whitewash as there were only four matches in the series.
