Zim 2024 PSL Matchaday 2 Weekend roundup: FC Platinum beat champions, Bosso, Dembare held

Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League action was in full swing this weekend with, eight of the nine matches played.

On Saturday, FC Platinum laid the marker down for the season, beating title holders Ngezi Platinum 2-0. Wilfred Muvirimi’s brace got the win away from home.

Dynamos blew a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against Hwange. Donald Mudadi and Emmanuel Paga had set them on their way to what looked like an easy victory. Marcelline Mlilo pulled one back before Donald Dzvinyai’s own goal helped the coal miners earn a point.

Ralph Kawondera and Rodwell Chinyengetere were on target as Caps United put their stuttering start behind to record a 2-0 victory over Herentals.

On Sunday, Highlanders were held 1-1 by Bulawayo Cheifs. They led through Lynoth Chikuhwa, before Never Rauzhi leveled the tie.

ZPC Kariba won 1-0 at Chegutu Pirates.

In the other match of the round, Bikita will finally make their debut in the season when they take on Yadah on Wednesday. This is after the dispute over their promotion was resolved
