#Zimbabwe Finance and Economic Development Minister Prof Mthuli Ncube has pledged a bigger budget for sport after Zimbabwe’s win at the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier 2022 in Bulawayo.

“We as the government are committing more towards funding sport,” Prof Ncube said.

Ncube said cricket was the largest foreign currency earner in Zimbabwe.

He also said government would invest in infrastructure and incentivise cooperate involvement in sport.

On incentives, Ncube said thing such as tax breaks could be offered to companies which invested or donated to sport.
