Former Zimbabwe women international bowler Anesu Mushagwe has finally made her debut for Adelaide Strikers Women in the Weber Women’s Big Bash League in Australia.
She accounted for Rachel Trenaman as the Strikers took on Hobart Hurricanes Women, who holed out a full toss to Tahlia McGrath.
Mushangwe would finish with figures of one for 21 in 3.4 overs as the Hurricanes were bowled out for 154.
The Strikers went on to win the match by eight wickets, with McGrath striking 94 off 51.

The 26-year-old moved to Australia before the pandemic and while she then represented Zimbabwe in a T20 World Cup Qualifier Africa last year, Mushangwe has now focused on playing cricket in her new home. There is currently no hope of seeing her don the red for the Lady Chevrons.
Until recently, Mushangwe held the record for the most number of wickets for Zimbabwe Women with 33, but she has since been overtaken by left-arm seamer Nomvelo Sibanda who now currently sits on 40.
