The countdown to the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon next moth has officially started for Zimbabwe.
Camp
The local based players started camp on 23 December 2021. South Africa based players are also expected. Everyone should be in camp by boxing day except for captain Knowledge Musona, Tino Kadewere, Jordan Zemura, Admiral Muskwe and David Moyo who will fly straight to Cameroon. Teenage Hadebe and Ishmael Wadi are already in Zimbabwe.
Friendlies
The Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) is working on friendlies before the finals start on 9 January 2021. Sudan are closest to an agreement while a few others are at talks level.
Jordan Zemura
Jordan Zemura will play a couple of matches for Bournemouth before joining camp.
Zimbabwe are in the same group with Senegal, Malawi and Guinea.
