Result: USA Women won by 4 wickets

USA Women pulled one back in the ODI series against Zimbabwe Women with a hard-fought four-wicket victory at Harare Sports Club.

Zimbabwe, who batted first, were bowled out for 179 in 48.4 overs, and USA chased down the target in 37.2 overs, scoring 182/6 to seal the win.

Zimbabwe’s innings started cautiously, with opener Modester Mupachikwa top-scoring with 34 off 59 balls. Contributions from Chipo Mugeri Tiripano (28) and a late surge from Audrey Mazvishaya (26*) pushed Zimbabwe to 179.

However, the USA’s bowling attack, led by Geetika Kodali, who took an impressive five wickets for 43 runs, restricted the hosts from posting a larger total. Saanvi Lmmadi also provided excellent support, claiming three wickets for 28 runs in her 9 overs.

USA’s chase was anchored by solid knocks from their top order, with Disha Dhingra (41) and Anika Kolan (43) laying the foundation. Despite a few hiccups in the middle order, Sindhu Sriharsha’s unbeaten 30 ensured the visitors reached the target comfortably.

The Zimbabwe bowlers made an effort of sorts, in the end they had too few runs to work with.

Josephine Nkomo’s efforts with the ball (2-32), Olinda Chare’s fight (2-41) and Audrey Mazvishaya’s economical spell (1-33) were notable for Zimbabwe, but the USA’s consistent partnerships helped them secure the win.
