Trent, White, Maddison named in England Fifa World Cup squad

England have named their 26-man squad for this month’s Fifa World Cup.

A surprise inclusion is Liverpool’s Trent Alexader-Arnold, while Arsenal’s Ben White finds himself in the squad. The latter would not have made it were it not due to injuries to other players. White also plays as centre back but has starred for table-toppers Arsenal this season, playing from the right of defence.

Leicester City’s James Maddison also gets a call-up.

The tournament kicks off 20 November 2022 in Qatar.

All 64 matches will be available for Zimbabwean viewers on DStv from the Compact bouquet going up.
