Zimbabwe’s Rugby Africa Gold Cup have gone south as they lost 22-41 at Hartsfield Sports Club in Bulawayo.
The Sables were smarting from a heart-wrenching late loss to Namibia last week and were anaemic in their loss to Simbas in front of an expectant home crowd.
When Hilton Mudariki breached the Simbas defence early for the Sables to take an early 7-3 lead, it looked like it would be a good day for the hosts.
By half time the visitors had overturned the lead and led 12-17.
For a while in the second period Zimbabwe drew close and were 22-24 down but head went and Kenya punished for it with two unanswered converted tries and a pair of penalties.
