That was the incredible hitting by Milton Shumba has he powered his side to a six wicket victory over Scotland in the third T20I.

And his hitting came a time when Zimbabwe looked dead and buried, needing 14 an over. He hit three sixes a row, and Wessly Madhevere smacked the other, as they took 25 from the 17th over, bowled by Alasdair Evans. At the start of that over, Zimbabwe needed 59 from four overs. At the end of it they need 25 from 18.

Even though Wessly Madhevere would later get run out for 43 attempting a second run, Shumba simply had too much for the Scots as Zimbabwe got to 180 for the loss of four wickets. This was with five balls to spare, eclipsing Scotland’s 177 for four.

Earlier, captain Craig Ervine opened with Regis Chakabva and the pair put on 60 before they fell three balls apart, both on 25 runs.

Sean Williams made one while Ryan Burl saw the team home with six unbeaten.

Scotland’s total was on the back of George Munsey’s 54 off 30 balls, Richie Berrington’s 44 of 39 and Calum MacLeod’s 39 off 29.

Zimbabwe take the series and now return home.
