Sean Williams intends to retire from T20 internationals, we can reveal.
We are informed by a source in Bangladesh that he told the dressing room as much, after what turned out to be his final match.
The 37-year-old has played a pivotal role for Zimbabwe in the format, playing 81 times, with 1691 runs to his name at a strike rate of 126.38.
With the arm, he has taken 48 wickets.
It will be Williams’s second retirement since 2021. He was talked out of it then.
He will still be available for Tests and ODIs.
