Red-hot Maswanhise scores, assists in Motherwell victory

Zimbabwe youngster Tawanda Masnwahise putting on a sterling performance as he helped his Motherwell side a 2-1 victory over St Johnstone in a Scottish Premier League match on Saturday.

He scored in the 20th minute to put his side ahead.

In the 34th he provided an assist which was converted by Tom Sparrow.

Nicky Clark pulled one back from the penalty spot for St Johnstone. Jack Sanders looked to have equalised in 92nd minute, but VAR judged the finish a handball.

It is now the speedy winger’s third goal in as many league matches, plus an assist.

Maswanhise joins up with the Warriors national team for their crucial Afcon 2025 Qualifiers against Kenya and Cameroon.
