Harare Kings won by 36 runs
Another devastating innings from Sikandar Raza was the highlight of the first match of the second day of the Zim Cyber-City Domestic T10, powered by AVR PAY, as he hammered 44 runs off only 15 deliveries at Harare Sports Club on Friday.
Kings have a very aggressive batting line-up, starting with their opening pair of Cephas Zhuwao and Tarisai Musakanda.
They made a good start by hitting up 46 together in the first five overs before Musakanda was caught for 16, scored off 12 balls.
Zhuwao was out seven balls later for 33 off 22 balls at 60 for two.
It is not often that Zhuwao is overshadowed by anybody when he is at the crease, but this happened when Raza came in at number three and hit brilliantly at almost twice the speed of his partner.
Raza scored at an average rate of almost three runs a ball, with five sixes and two fours.
He was bowled by Chris Mpofu in the final over at 112 for five wickets, and the eventual total was 118 for five.
Tanatswa Bechani took two wickets for 20 in two overs, while Brandon Mavuta’s single over brought two wickets – Zhuwao and Johnathan Campbell – and cost 14 runs.
Bulawayo Athletic Club (BAC) had a hard task ahead of them, and quickly lost Nkosana Mpofu (2) and Allan Chigoma (1) in the first seven balls.
The only good stand they could produce was that for the third wicket, 43 in three overs between Nyasha Mayavo (19 off 8 balls) and Thamsanqa Nunu (18 off 13).
If this pair could have stayed together, BAC could have mounted a good challenge, but after them no other batter could get going and wickets fell steadily, with Campbell picking up three good ones.
The innings finished with eight wickets down for 82, Campbell having taken his three wickets for 12 runs in his two overs.

Gladiators won by 43 runs
Malcom Chikuhwa turned in a good bowling performance to take three wickets for 15 runs in his two overs for Gladiators to ensure that Takashinga Patriots 2 had no chance of chasing down their target of 102 in the second match today.
Gladiators, put in to bat, did quite well although they had no major batters apart from Wessly Madhevere, who was bowled by Trevor Mutsamba for 10 in the third over.
His partner Lennox Tinoda Chando survived to make 29 off 24 balls, while the fastest scoring came from Tinashe Chimbambo, who scored 27 off only 13 balls.
Gladiators reached 100 off the last ball of their innings, with four wickets down.
Four bowlers took a wicket each in two overs, the most economical being Daichi Nyandoro, who conceded only 11 runs.
Takashinga were never in the hunt after losing a wicket to the second ball of their innings.
Daniel Zvidzai, who opened the batting, scored 10 runs off five balls, including two fours.
Knowledge Kaia and Brian Majoka also scored 10, but wickets fell steadily and their final total was only 58 for six wickets.
Chikuhwa, the fourth bowler used, took his three wickets in the middle order, including that of Cunningham Ncube for eight.
The margin of defeat was 43 runs.

Westside won by six wickets
A brief but powerful innings of 22 not out off seven balls by Tinashe Muchawaya wrapped up a comfortable six-wicket victory for Westside over Takashinga Patriots 1 with nine balls to spare in the third match played at Harare Sports Club today.
Takashinga batted first, and although six men reached double figures, nobody reached 20 or was able to play the major innings that would have given them a really challenging score.
Tinashe Kamunhukamwe briefly set a hot pace as he raced to 17 off eight balls, only to be run out.
Takudzwanashe Kaitano was lbw to Donald Tiripano first ball, and then Innocent Kaia went for 16.
It was good to see Hamilton Masakadza playing again, and he scored 14 off 11 balls, including a six, before Tiripano caught him off the bowling of Clive Chitumba.
His brother Shingi made the top score of 18, sharing a useful partnership of 25 with Joylord Gumbie (12), but Takashinga were probably a little disappointed that their total only just reached 100.
Tiripano was the most successful and economical bowler with two wickets for 11 runs off his two overs.
Westside made a good start to their run chase, with Chitumba and Kevin Kasuza scoring 15 apiece in an opening partnership of 34 in less than three overs.
Tiripano unfortunately failed to score, but there came another useful partnership of 36 for the fourth wicket between Definite Mawadzi (24 not out off 13 balls) and Kudzai Sauramba (19 off 9 balls) that kept Westside above the run rate.
Muchawaya finally finished off the match with his flurry of five boundaries and his team was comfortably home with six wickets in hand.
Two of the three wickets to fall to bowlers went to Shingi Masakadza for 23 runs.
