A few seasons ago, Macauley Bonne had been linked with possible moves to the the English Premier League, but he has now been released by SkyBet Championship side Queens Park Rangers.
“The 27-year-old has had his contract terminated by mutual consent with immediate effect,” read a statement by the club.
The formerly Zimbabwe national team-linked striker made 44 appearances for QPR, after joining from Charlton Athletic in October 2020. A startling 34 of those were off the bench, having spent last season on loan at League One side Ipswich Town.
Bonne has not hidden his desire to return to his home side, Ipswich, and now that he is free, he can choose a side of his pleasing.
