The Eagles posted a score of 212/9 in the 50 overs. Aiding Chigumbura were contributions for Joylord Gumbie (25), Tapiwa Mufudza (22) and Liam Roache (19).

John Nyumbu picked up 3-29, Chris Mpofu 2-45 and Stephen Chimhamhiwa 2-40.

The Tuskers lost wickets at too regular intervals and their top order was a mess as they were quickly reduced to 57-5.

Craig Ervine who had picked off a masterful half century on Tuesday could only muster 23. In effect the top scorer was Mpofu who scored 41 and the most fruitful partnership of the innings was the 50 for the ninth wicket with Chimhamhiwa.

Tuskers were finally all out for 196.

Mufudza returned 3-25 while Bryan Zhawi took 3-42.

Meanwhile, at Harare Sports Club, the Rising Stars were too good for a woeful Midlands Rhinos, posting a 66  run victory over them.

Ryan Burl top scored with 59 and Tafadzwa Chitsiga contributed 39 as the Stars posted a modest 207 all out.

Tendai Chisoro was the pick of the bowlers with a great 5-30. Rhinos used eight bowlers in the innings.

Patrick Mambo almost got replicated Chisoro’s effort with 4-34. Only Nyasha Mayavo provided some resistance with 55 but the chase never got going as Rhinos were all out 141.

The Pro50 resumes on Friday.
