PJ Moor has been called up to Ireland’s Test squads for matches against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The former Zimbabwe white-ball vice-captain switched allegiances after spending a few seasons playing in the Ireland domestic setup.
He played eight Tests for Zimbabwe, scoring 533 at an average of 35.53. 83 was his highest score for the Chevrons.
The 32-year-old’s last Test match for Zimbabwe was in 2018.
His last representative match for Zimbabwe was in 2019, in a T20 against Singapore.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) allows players from Test nations to switch allegiances after three years of inactivity.
Moor holds an Irish passport.
