Zimbabwe national women’s team cricketers Kelis Ndhlovu and Nomvelo Sibanda have been called up for the third edition of the Fairbreak Invitational tournament.
Sibanda and Ndhlovu have been invited for the first time while national captain Mary-Anne Musonda has played in all previous editions.
This was communicated by Zimbabwe women media officer Yvonne Magunda.
Sibanda is a frontline bowler for Zimbabwe and often is at the forefront of wicket-taking for the Lady Chevrons.
Ndhlovu has has been barnstorming since she joined the international cricket fold. She took a fiver on ODI debut, and was nominated for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month in April.
She captained Zimbabwe in the inaugural ICC Under-19 Women’s Cricket World Cup earlier this year.
On the domestic front, she was named the best player in both domestic tournaments.
The third edition will be held in the United States of America from 14 to 30 September 2023.
