Zimbabwean pace bowler Blessing Muzarabani has signed for English county side Northamptonshire on a three-year contract.

Blessing Muzarabani

Muzarabani recently put his international cricket career on hold to pursue his options in England and joins the struggling division two side.

Northamptonshire Head Coach David Riple described Muzarabani as having huge potential:

We’ve been talking to Blessing for quite some time and have been impressed by the way he plays. He’s got a lot to learn and he knows it, but we’re looking forward to helping him achieve his potential at the County Ground over the next few years.

Muzarabani himself was excited:

I’ve come here to chase my dreams. I want to perform and achieve. I just can’t wait to get started.

He played one test for Zimbabwe in which he took no wickets. He had more success in the shorter version with 18 ODI and 9 T20I wickets.
