Mpofu, Chigumbura confirmed for Legends League Cricket Season 2

Former Zimbabwe pace bowler Chris Mpofu and captain Elton Chigumbura have been confirmed for the second season of the Legends League Cricket.

He joins the likes of England’s World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan, former Indian skipper and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, Test cricket legendary spinner Muttiah Muralitharan among a host of stars.

Mpofu has recently been player-coach at Rhinos in the Zimbabwean provincial setup. He has also been involved with the national team under-19 in the southern region.

Chigumbura is running an academy and is one of the selectors for the national team and the under-19 side.

Zimbabwe batting coach Lance Klusener has also been confirmed for the league.

53 player have been confirmed.

The Legends League Cricket runs from 20 September and 10 October 2022.
