Masakadza ruled out of second test

Opener Hamilton Masakadza will miss the second test against New Zealand which kicks off tomorrow at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo due to injury.

Masakadza has a lower back strain.

Tinotenda Mawoyo who could not play in the first match returns to the folder while Peter Joseph Moor looks likely to be handed a likely debut in the long format of the game.

Off-spinner John Nyumbu makes are return to test cricket and will be chopping at the bits to impress at his home ground.

There were injury scares for Prince Masvaure and Chamunorwa Chibhabha who both missed practice during the week as they were struggling with fever that left them weak and congested.

Also recovering from fever were Regis Chakabva, Craig Ervine and Sean Williams, who have all been certified fit and included in the 15.

Zimbabwe lost the first test by an innings and 117 runs.
