Zimbabwean striker Macauley Bonne has dropped to a League One football, and will play with former club Ipswich Town next season.
Championship side Queens Park Rangers confirmed the one-year-loan move, after the 25 year-old joined Mark Warburton’s side from Charlton Athletic last October. Charlton Athletic were in the Championship and we re relegated the season before last.
Bonne had a disappointing time at QPR last season. He made nine starts and a further 26 appearances from the bench in all competitions for the R’s during 2020/21, scoring three goals.
The season before, he scored 11 goals in 33 matches, for Charlton Athletic.
At that time, there was a massive stampede by the Zimbabwe national team technical coterie to have him represent the country, before he seemingly changed his mind.
Bonne was born in Ipswich and played for his hometown club at junior level.
