STUMPS DAY 3 – Tuskers trail b 132 runs

Southern Rocks took three quick wickets in a rain-affected third day of their Logan Cup match against Tuskers at Harare Sports Club on Thursday.

Shane Snater and Tendai Chisoro were the ones to take wickets late after Rocks had posted 321 all out from an overnight score of 271 for the loss of six wickets for a lead of 162.

Snater took the wicket of the struggling Brian Chari for 15 as well as the exciting Milton Tshuma for 0. Arsh Jha was trapped leg before for six.

At the crease were Craig Ervine on eight and Peter Moor yet to bother the scorers when play ended. Tuskers 30 for three after 16.4 overs, still 132 behind.

Earlier, rain delayed the start of proceedings until after lunch.

Chisoro took his overnight score of 18 to 29 before he was bowled by Elliot Masuku.

Patrick Mambo and Blessing Muzarabani, both with 11, as well as an unbeaten 13 from Shane Snater made for useful little scores at the end.

Meanwhile, no play was possible on day three between Rhinos and Eagles due to a wet outfield as well as rain. That match now seems destined for a draw.
