Kadewere scores, assists as Lyon go top

Zimbabwe international Tino Kadewere has scored and assisted for Lyon in their 4-1 win over Nice in an Uber Eats Ligue 1 match on Saturday,

The forward netted his sixth goal of the season in the 40th minute when he capitalised on a Nice defensive mixup for a clinical finish.

He then set one up for Karl Toko Ekambi later in the game to register his first assist of the season.

Kadewere was also instrumental in the opener when he was brought down in the box by Stanley Nsoki. Memphis Depay converted the ensuing kick with his Panenka beating Walter Benitez.

French star Houssem Aouar scored the fourth goal.

The win takes Lyon top of the log, one point ahead of Lille who take on third placed Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.
