Hooliganism rears its ugly head in Zim football

Violence reared it’s ugly head in Zimbabwe footballat the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match between Bulawayo rivals Highlanders and Chicken Inn at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.

In the video below posted on Twitter by @Temba Dube an ugly standoff is seen between police and hooligans throwing missiles at cops.

It all went south after a Lewis Kutinyu Chicken Inn goal was disallowed in the last minute. A Chicken Inn player then slapped a Highlanders opponent resulting in an invasion of the pitch. The violence has resulted in arrests and as goons assaulted match officials and injured police officers.

Sickening. Like really sick.
