Hondo resigns as Cheetahs coach

Zimbabwe Rugby has announced the resignation of its Sevens head coach Daniel Hondo.

Hondo, a former player, only served on one mission, the unsuccessful Olympic Repechage in Monaco last month. With a largely inexperienced side, the Cheetahs finished fifth in a tough field.

Zimbabwe Rugby Union, says the reason why Hondo left is for ‘personal and work commitments’.

Cheetahs assistant coach Graham Kaulback will take the helm on an interim basis, while a substantive appointment is being decided on.
