The two sides were deadlocked 0-0 after the regulation 90 minutes and the match went to penalties.

Raphael Muduviwa and  Nqobizitha Masuku missed for Platinum while Simon Munawa  also failed to convert their penalties.

And yet it could have been so different had Gerald Takwara been able to convert his 68th minute chance which he placed wide.

That said Highlanders were the more adventurous of the two and regularly carved the FC Platinum defence open.

Highlanders now Face Dynamos who beat Caps United 1-0 in Harare. The final is on Tuesday.
