Herentals to appeal match-fixing verdict

Herentals have said they will appeal a decision by the Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League against them relating to match-fixing.

The side was fined $300,000 and the result of the match in question against Black Rhinos forfeited which may or may not mean their relegation.

Herentals called the verdict vindictive and that not evidence was provided by the complainant had not provided any evidence during proceedings.

The appeal will be sent to the Zimbabwe Football Assocation.
