As the match advanced into the second set, Garanganga could not execute his strokes well, He struggled to hit the ball to his usual best. It was just not his day. As the game progressed, it became more and more clearer that the day would belong to the young South African who had to come through three qualifying rounds to play the main draw. A lot of tennis fans who watched the match were left in shock as the home favourite Garanganga was knocked out.
