The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19, 2026, and will be hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

It will be the first World Cup to feature 48 teams, up from 32 in previous tournaments.

Mexico opens the tournament at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.

The final will be at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, US.

Here is the overall schedule for the tournament:

  • Group Stage: June 11 – June 27
  • Round of 32: June 29 – July 3
  • Round of 16: July 4 – July 7
  • Quarter-finals: July 9 – July 11
  • Semi-finals: July 14 – July 15
  • Third Place Play-off: July 18
  • Final: July 19
