Fifa confirms 2022 World Cup dates

The 2022 Fifa World Cup dates to be held in Qatar have been announced.

The global showcases will start on 21 November with the final taking place on 18 December 2022.

The group stages will have four matches per day, the first at midday, followed by 3pm, 6pm and 9pm kick-offs.

The tournament has been moved from its June/July dates due to adverse weather in Qatar.
