Everton are said to be interested in Zimbabwe international midfielder Marvelous Nakamba.
Nakamba is currently on the books for fellow Premier League side Aston Villa, but according to The Daily Mail, the Toffees fancy him as new manager Rafa Benitez looks to bolster his midfield.
Benitez isn’t the only one keen on Nakamba apparently. Newly minted Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira is also said to making eyes at him.
Villa are said to be keen to keep him. He was involved 13 Premier League matches last season, nine of which were wins. He was instrumental in massive wins against Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspurs.
Nakamba has been at Aston Villa for two seasons and has made 50 appearances.
He is a critical member of the Zimbabwe national team, having been instrumental in their qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations next year.
