Ervine, Williams called up for 2nd Unofficial Test against SA ‘A’

The Zimbabwe A squad for the second unofficial test against South Africa A has been announced.

The selectors have decided to give time in the middle for Sean Williams and Craig Ervine. It makes loads of sense given the pair have spent very little time at the crease in recent times.

The form of Prince Masvaure and Tinotenda Mawoyo who played well to finish unbeaten on the final day of the drawn first four-dayer in Harare will have encouraged the selectors as Zimbabwe step up their preparations for their test series against New Zealand. The pair shared an unbroken 177.

Therefore we are wondering where Ervine who usually is a number 3 will play given Masvuare’s success in the first match at that position.

The second match against SA A kicks off at Queens Sports Club on the 15th of July.
