The announcement sees an end to the current partnership with SuperSport which runs on Multichoice Africa’s DStv platform.

The deal will see Econet Media through its Kwese TV platform show 500 games per season of NBA and WNBA games from preseason to finals. The deal begins with the 2016-2017  season.

No information has been released on the length of the deal or how much it will cost Econet.

Econet recently announced a deal to show a single match on free-to-air from the lucrative Premier League from next season.

Kwese TV launches in August.

The games are well and truly under way.
