Former Zambian Striker Dennis Lota Dies

Former Zambian international striker Dennis Lota has died.

Lota was admitted to the hospital over the weekend, and passed away on Tuesday. He was 40 years old.

Dennis ‘Chesa Mpama’ Lota played over a hundred games for Orlando Pirates between 1998 and 2002 and also had spells at a number of other South African clubs including Swallows, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Witbank Aces, FC AK, Amazulu and Dangerous Darkies.

Two of his brothers, Lawrence and Charles, were also football players.

At the time of his death, Lota was assistant coach of Moroka Swallows in South Africa.
