de Jongh leaves Bosso

Dutch coach Hendrik Pieter de Jongh has left Highlanders and will take on a new challenge from the beginning of the year.

He bade his farewell via his very active Twitter account on Sunday.

Big thanks to the Bosso family for the cooperation and the great success we had together. Only I go from 1 January 2020 for a new challenges. Thanks for the great time.

In his time at Bosso, the Dutchman brought the good feeling back and won them the Chibuku Super Cup. He also finished the season fifth. All in all, his record was eight wins, six draws and one loss.

He had expressed an interest in staying on as gaffer at the Bulawayo giants as well the Zimbabwe national team.

It remains to be seen where he will go next with rumours of him joining Zimbabwe champions FC Platinum abound.
