Darikwa was an unused substitute as Sean Dyche’s side ensured they could not finish outside the top two of English football’s second tier league.

Their two closest rivals Middesborough and Brighton cannot overturn them because they play each other on the final day.

Darikwa was born in England but qualifies to play for Zimbabwe by heritage. He has been called up to the national team but is still to take up the offer.
