CRICKET: Zimbabwe Drop Out Of Top 10 In ICC ODI Rankings

Zimbabwe have their work cut out now, after they dropped out of the International Cricket Council for one day internationals.

Zimbabwe are now ranked 11th, 5 rating points behind Ireland (who beat them at the recent World Cup) and just four rating points ahead of Afghanistan.

There is more misery for the Chevrons who are placed 13th in the T20I rankings and  hold the wooden spoon in the long form of the game.

It is the ODI rankings that are a bit worrying given the change in format for qualifications for the next World Cup where only the top 8 teams get direct qualification for the tournament.

We are hoping the appointment of Dav Whatmore will change the teams fortunes. He certainly has his work cut out. First opportunity is the ODI series against Pakistan  soon.
