Chisora Fails To Win WBC Title

Vitali Klitschko beat Zimbabwean born Dereck “Del-Boy” Chisora to retain his WBC world heavyweight title on unanimous points decision.

A lot of people had hoped that Chisora would cause an upset but at the end of the fight the score card read 118-110 118-110 119-111 in Klitschko’s favour.

Watching the fight it was evident that the older Klitschko had certain precision that comes with experience. Up to this fight Klitschko, had knocked 40 of his 45 opponents but Chisora with only 17 professional fights made Vitali work every second of every round.

Chisora Looked like he had prepared for this fight, he looked better and was constantly moving but he failed to defeat the Ukrainian.

After the fight Chisora seemed unhappy by the decision and walked over to the Klitschko side and there was a bit of a scuffle.

At the post fight conference  Chisora mocked former champion Haye for his poor performance against Klitschko’s brother Wladimir last year. Chisora then confronted Haye, the two men had a brawl with their entourages getting involved.  Chisora was then arrested at the airport while trying to leave Munich and was detained by police for this brawl.

We don’t think that was necessary and that Chisora should be fighting more inside the ring than outside it. But Chisora is not one to shy away from controversy.
