Bullish Chiyangwa says a corporate sponsor is on board for the Warriors

A corporate sponsor will bankroll the Warriors’ Africa Cup of Nations campaign next month, Zifa president Dr Philip Chiyangwa is reported to have said.

The unnamed sponsor will be unveiled this month and will also act as a corporate sponsor for the national association in 2017.

Chiyangwa, who is the new COSAFA president, was quoted as saying by The Herald as saying things would never be the same again.

Zimbabwe’s national teams have suffered for many years from lack of sponsorship resulting in notoriously horrible preparations. In just recent times benefactors such as PHD Ministries founder Walter Magaya and flamboyant businessman Wicknell Chivayo have had to come to the rescue to support continental campaigns.

When Chiyangwa came in, he did say he would put the house in order.

Look at that.
